Build on the rock

“Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal rock. Isaiah 26:4 NLT

Did you know that verse 3 says:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Our God is our rock as we decide to make Him our rock and determine to keep Him as our foundation. Making our God our rock means keeping our thoughts fixed on Him. He keeps us in peace as we centre ourselves on Him.

In Stardew Valley, a person mines rock and uses it to make things, good things. (Yes I am still playing the game so that when I front my grandchildren, I can confidently say, “Look where Nan is up to in the game, isn’t she clever!” ) I think I will be appreciated because I bother to believe I can do something my grandkids do. This gives me cred.

Seriously, if I can master this game, then I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. There are aspects of the game that I avoid, rather new agy stuff. I mine, I grow crops and build stuff, and sleep a lot. Ha ha!
