Glory to be revealed

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We live in a world of instant gratification. We want what we want now! We are impatient and spoiled! We need to learn to be children of God. Scripture tells us that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. He was God in the flesh and yet He learned obedience to the Father. Now, if the Son of God had to endure this, why do we think we should escape it? Discipline produces obedience.

The promise of glory to be revealed later draws us. What does this glory look like? A reward?

I know that when we behave like sons and daughters of God we give hIm glory, and in return He glorifies us for our obedience, people notice and are impacted by our obedience. We can feel the ‘well done’ smile of our Father.

So, if you humble yourself in obedience, God will lift you up and glorify His name.
