Divine appointment

“Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children.”Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

How do we imitate God? We copy the Son, perhaps. He was not needing to be loved , and yet He was; He was obedient to the Father; He taught the ways of the Kingdom of God; He challenged hypocrisy; He paid His dues and He died on the cross for us. We need to let all these facts challenge us.

Dying to our own selfish desires and self-importance is a start. Last night I went out to dinner with a few women who were celebrating a good friend’s birthday. I watched people coming into the restaurant and wondered at their lives. We do not know what people endure day to day. We live our lives and seek what is for us but fail to think beyond that.

Today I received an email to say my flight to Nepal is going to be disrupted. I will spend a night in Kuala Lumpur. I have never been there and now I am praying for a divine appointment. This might be exciting! I pray it is. Amen!
