God is at work

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God is surely at work in me to will to do His work. He is transforming me into a willing and obedient servant, willing to do His will and not my own. Last night at my farewell street party, a woman who has grown close in friendship asked, “can’t you change your mind and stay?” I replied, “don’t do that!” I love my neighbours but I love the Lord more.

Today I continue that walk as I change my registration papers with the government for the new owner, and continue to clean out my old home.

My neighbours wonder at my will to go to Nepal and to serve the people there. Many have said, “I could never do that!” God has brought me to will to do His good pleasure, not my own or the will of those I love. I am grateful that I will discover what that looks like. Praise Him!
