““You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.””
Revelation 4:11 NIV
Right here in the book of Revelation we see glory given to God for creating all things. Mankind likes to believe nothing created everything. For me, that concept takes more faith than I can muster.
It is good for mankind to give glory to God, it humbles us. My God is glorious! The Book of Revelation sure puts things into a divine perspective. All that has happened and will happen is God ordained, from heaven’s perspective. Whereas what we do here on earth has consequences for what will happen to us personally.
The first few chapters puts perspective on the behaviour of the churches. In one particular church the only thing it had done wrong was lose its first love. It had been faithful and true in every other area. This speaks to me. When we face Jesus as judge He sees all and examines all. I remember my first love for Jesus. It was childlike and full of faith. I could not wait for more. I have to ask myself, have I lost this or am I still there? I know I struggle to stay childlike in faith and as loving as I was then, so ‘yes’ I probably have. So, above all else I must be faithful as Jesus would want me to be. Amen!
