All God has for me

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.”2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God’s divine power enables us to live a godly life. We access it by coming to know Him who called us. Faith accesses that power.

I remember the time I fell badly when my shoes laces caught the lugs on the opposite boot and I was carrying two big bags of groceries. I had only just recovered from two broken ribs. The pain I experienced was enormous. Yet, I screamed, “Jesus You have to be my healer! I am getting up and refuse to have more broken bones!” As I rose up I praised Him through the pain I felt. I was in agony but refused to yeild to the pain.

I apply this form of vigorous faith to all disasters being they relational or financial. I refuse to be a victim. I refuse to sit in a heap!

Therefore, I apprehend all I can in faith,  because my bible says it is mine.

Today Timothy and I went to visit my interpreter, a man I knew well called Silas. He was pleased to see me as was his mother who is nearly 80. She said to her son that I had aged. I let my hair grow back grey. She also had aged. We had not seen each other for 5 years. The children in the house had grown up and were all teenagers now. To get to the house we had to abandon our motorbike and walk down steep slopes and rough paths. My left knee was playing up but I walked anyway and praised the Lord for His healing. I had swum 20 laps of the local pool before going, so I had used up energy there as well. Now when I swim I need to keep my legs straight as the knees object. I know swimming will strengthen them and so I will continue.

Sitting down and allowing life to pass me by is not an option. I must aprehend all God has for me. Amen!
