Bold actions and prayers obtain results. This morning I awoke to the thought contact Samaratins Purse. I have not had anything much to do with SP except donate, once I think. I read their news and follow them in social media. Our efforts to help Western Nepalis who have been hit by two major earthquakes with housing, warmth and medicines, managed to serve 200. Yet, there are 300 more needing our help.
I had written to our church and they responded but are having difficulty sending funds due to a government ruling. A good friend has donated and a colleague has had several family members and friends donate. However, getting funds when needed to buy supplies desperately needing by those facing cold weather and displacement and possible death is frustrating. Two of us are pensioners and have limited resources. I have prayed for an outpouring of a generous spirit to fall on all. I now must trust my God. He is more compassionate that I and I must respect His ways. Amen!
