Giving thanks through Him

When things don’t go to plan or not to your liking, we tend to grumble and complain. Today I am in a house sitting job which lasts until 5/1/24. I am caring for three dogs.

I received a message from the owner: “sorry the house is not as clean as I would have liked for you, but I hurt my arm.” I had fully expected I’d need to clean, and I did. Unpacked my groceries, had a swim, then a nap and watched a Christmas movie. It is quiet here and the neighbours are strangers. I hope to get to know them soon.

At first the dogs yapped for quite a while, but eventually quitened down. Now they want my hugs. A vast improvement.

I find Christmas movies a tad mmh! However, I’ll go with the flow. I want the reality of Jesus more now than ever before. Empty nonsense doesn’t quite cut it for me any more. Let’s see if I can bring Jesus to the street. Amen!
