“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT
For me God made sure that I knew my sin when He saved me. I had spent my life, to that point, endeavouring to earn my salvation. He would have none of my self-righteousness, I needed to know my state wirhout His grace so that when I received His grace I would be so grateful.
Grace is free towards us but not free to the one who gave it to us. It cost Him His life. Grace is therefore very valuable.
Today I am grateful! This gift is so precious. Amen!
