So things happened today that challenged this scripture: 1) as I was waiting for my eldest grandson to take me to the airport my son messaged me to say there was a news report that there is a cyclone off the coast of Cairns, just near where we were planning to holiday. I checked the weather report and could not find the mention of the cyclone. I remembered this scripture and sent it to my son, with the report: “we are still going!”
We successfully flew to Cairns, hired a car, bought our groceries and went to our accomodation. We then went to the beach for a swim and found it to be subject to high winds and not at all pleasant. 2) My youngest grandson and I went for a walk. In the process of doing this my grandson disappeared. Panic wanted to have me and again I remembered the scripture and refused to panic. Instead I prayed: “Lord I give Ollie into your hands, please help me find him”. I found him, he was ahead of me and could not hear me calling because of the wind.
Tomorrow we go out to an island that I have previously taken my granddaughter to as I know it is more sheltered and we can snorkel there. We will spend the day. Again I must trust the Lord to keep us safe. Amen!
