Arise and shine

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you.”Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭1‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Some struggle to rise out of the bed in the morning. Some stay up too late, some have little children, some work shift work and some just don’t sleep well.

I am an early riser and love to get up and greet the day. I love the stillness of the morning, listening to birds chatter, feeling the quiet and loving my time alone with the Lord. It was not always so. Young children tend to bust all plans, however God is there even in mislaid plans. His grace is sufficient for all manner of risings.

Often these day I will wake in the wee hours of the early moring. Rather than being troubled and resentful of full of self pity I know God will sustain me, and He does. He is good!
