“And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”Hebrews 10:24-25 HCSB
I find the more I love the Lord, the more I love people. Today I met my daughter and granddaughter. We had a pleasant time together wandering around market stalls, having a coffee and chatting. My granddaughter is at uni studying nursing. We had a lot to talk about, as I have been a nurse. My daughter had knitted me a multicoloured jumper out of pure merino wool. It is beautiful! I will enjoy wearing it. I really appreciated our time together.
I returned to my sons house and attempted to make some macrame key rings with my youngest granddaughter Ellie. We both struggled to understand the knots. I made one, Ellie failed. I promised to take hers with me and work on it whilst in Tamworth.
I’ve packed ready to leave early in the morning for Tamworth. I am grateful for the time I’ve had here with family. It has not always been easy but worthwhile.
I find that just sitting while the family play electronic games and chat with their friends is sometimes enough. Much like the family dog. She doesn’t do a lot but is greatly appreciated.
Concern for one another is not allowing judgmental attitudes to ruin time together. Our preferences or ideals do not matter. What matters is what is good for the whole. Amen!
