“For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring you to God, after being put to death in the fleshly realm but made alive in the spiritual realm.”1 Peter 3:18 HCSB
Jesus showed us the blueprint, His example is our way. No! Not dying on a literal cross but dying to the fleshly appetites. For each of us this ‘death’ looks different. For me it is yielding all that I love to put Him first.
Today I visited relatives here in Tamworth for the last time in perhaps years (depending on the Lord’s timeframe). I love these people and they love me. Tears flowed as I parted with them. Their greatest desire is that I return to them to live in the street as beofre. That would be a miracle, but then my God is a God of miracles. For now I go to Nepal with a mandate. The Lord has showed me what I am to do and do it I will.
I must trust Him to keep them and I until a day when we see each other again. Amen!
