God’s children

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When my children were little and they became unwell I nursed them tenderly. Yesterday, after praying for a woman to be free from a generational curse I became violently ill, vomiting in the gutter on the way back to our home. Once home I proceeded to vomit every hour or so. My flatemates nursed me tenderly. The love they showered on me was phenomenal. At one of the bouts around 2am I had the presence of mind to contact a friend in Australia who is in the prayer network and asked for prayer. I awoke at 5am wirhout the inclination to vomit. I am grateful for the family of God, thank You Jesus!

Our God places us in a family, we need to make the connections available to us so that we are properly cared for. I should have had the presence of mind to contact my chuch friends for prayer covering before I went to pray for the woman. God was indeed present and I trust Him that victory was won. I told the woman how to maintain her faith, and trust she has done so.

On my last trip to Nepal I became ill and was alone, the difference is startling. That You Jesus! After one bout of vomiting last night I said to the girls, “we have not done our biblestudy. Martha get your bible and read the next chapter of Acts for us!” Martha did and we enjoyed hearing about Peter’s preaching to the crowd. We discussed it and prayed.

Thank You Lord for Your word and Your family! Amen!
