“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”
Colossians 3:13 NLT
We can be offended by comments or attitudes of friends and families. Choosing not to take offence releases them to the Lord for His correction.
Last night friends came to visit and we played a game of cards. The friend who I am currently residing with made harsh comments about my being selfish. It was because I had a partner in the game and she judged my actions. Initially it hurt and I battled to refuse it home in my heart. I prayed for my friends blessing when I went to bed. This morning when we went to the prayer meeting she was in tears and very sorry for the way she treated me. I accepted the apology and told her how grateful I have been to be a guest in her house. This made a further issue of tears. I suggested we go home and have a time of prayer and communion together, which we did and peace flowed.
Whist the whole time I have been at my friend’s home she has been grumpy, but loving at the same time. Her grumpiness has not bothered me. I am truely grateful for my accomodation. I told her that I am going back to Nepal to share house with two Nepali women. I surmise that the Lord is preparing me.
Today I suggested a day of rest and it has been peaceful! I am rereading a Rick Joyner book called The Harvest. It is a good reminder of the times in which we live.
