The one

“And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

 Sometimes it is a challenge to determine who those in need are. Today, while waiting for my friend’s daughter an old man became pesky to my friend. My friend is kind to every stranger. She soon found that the old man was more interested in her in other ways and he was also a little tipsy. My friend chastised me for not intervening, I laughed.

I have watched this friend take calls from people who only want to talk, she perseveres with them and is sympathetic. I am not so with those who just want to talk. I look for those who I can speak to about the Lord. The rest I leave until they are ready.

Jesus did not talk to everyone, He looked for those the Father was interested in. When He is interested, so am I. The challenge I have is to be focused, always.

Tomorrow I take a 16 hour flight back to Nepal. I am seated in the midst of a crowd of Indians. I have prayed that God opens the door to chat.
