All nations

“He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10‬:‭43‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Peter here is preaching to Cornelius and his household after being instructed by the Lord that the Good News was for the Gentiles also. He did this by giving Peter a vision of all manner of animals both what the Jews considered clean and unclean. The Lord then told Peter to rise up, kill and eat. Three times he had the order and finally the Lord said, “do not consider unclean what I have made clean!” Then he told him to go with men who had come to find him and share the good news with the one who sent them.

Although Jesus went to the Decapolis and to the Samaratins, the disciples still believed that the gospel and the Good News was for their own people. They had to learn that this message was for all mankind. Imagine if it only stayed within the confines of Israel where we would be today? Praise God He considered us outside the camp!

Jesus instructed the disciples to take the message of the gospel to all nations. How did they imagine this was to happen? How can we restrict the gospel to a narrow band of people or ethnicities even now. God is willing that all men might be saved. All means all! Praise Him!
