Great things

“For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me.”Luke‬ ‭1‬:‭49‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse is taken from what we commonly call the Magnificat. This name is derived from the first line of the song that Mary the to be mother of Jesus sang when she became pregnant with Jesus. Magnificat was coined from the first line: ‘My soul magnifies the Lord for He has done great things for me!’ I sang this recently when God gave me a vision for a role He wants me to play in Nepal. It was so outside the box that I knew it would take God to accomplish it. Mary also had this experience. A divine act of God caused His word to her to become a reality.

Our God wants to impart vision for great things. By pressing in to Him and seeking His face we receive. Rather than sitting with hands folded and complaining, ‘we’ll all be doomed, the end is coming!’ We could be seeking God for a glorious end. God is not finished with us until we see Him face to face in glory.

God’s word to Mary came by the angel Gabriel. God spoke to Joseph, Mary’s husband in dreams. He speaks to me in dreams and visions. He speaks to us all differently, if we are listening we will receive.

Seek Him! Amen!
