This scripture speaks to me of giving influenced by compassion, rather than reason. I am thinking of giving my microwave away next week. I will be buying a convection oven and the microwave is new. I live in a street where there are poor. My flatmates would have people they know who would welcome it. However, we have a street to reach. I cannot explain my motivation, but I know God’s heart for the lost.
Yesterday I little Hindu man wanted to sell me a carnation as he wanted the money for food. I refused the carnation and gave him money for food. My flatmates would object because this man was involved in the Hindu religion. I do not care for reasoning I care for the gospel.
I want to give and will give trusting the Lord for the outcome. I pray the Lord will guide me. Amen!
