“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”

This encouragement is plain and evident. Prayer is our mandate. Not only do we maintain our relationship with the Lord but with each other. The enemy’s push will be not to pray. He will employ offence, non-interest, and selfishness. He will tell us there is no need, or that people should pray themselves. This is why we become observers and critics, instead of participators, friends and colleagues.
However, Paul had urged us to pray on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests, always praying for the Lord’s people. I sense when others are praying for me, I am lifted up and encouraged. I value prayer, I covet it even.
Paul knew the value of prayer and appreciated when others prayed for Him. Don’t be discouraged in prayer, keep praying! Amen!
