Gratitude is a great antidote for worry. The more grateful you are the more peace you have because your eyes are off the situation causing anxiety.
I practice gratitude when I can’t sleep. I remember my childhood and see God’s hand in it and thank Him for every part of it. By concentrating on gratitude my mind is focused on the Lord. He is my peace, He guards me against all the turmoil that comes with anxious thoughts. They have no say when gratitude is in action.
I have a dear friend who is going through a financial turmoil at present, he needs God to be in the midst of his problem. The Lord took me through deep waters financially and taught me that He provides. I came to trust Him, however, I had to deal with anxiety. It was a battle but I learned to overcome.
Whatever the battle, He is our peace! Amen!
