Motivating others
“Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love.”Hebrews 10:24 TPT
We can be caught up in ‘big things’. These can obfuscate the simple truths in ordinary people’s live. We become hardened to the small people and lack love and compassion. This is the danger of bigness and success.
As I plan the work in Sindhulpalchok and encourage the team who will do the communication, I cannot lose God’s compassion for the girls who have been, are being and will be trafficked or sexually abused. I have experienced big organisations in churches. The leaders become overtaken with the forward vision and maintaining the movement. This removes them from the small people, the hurting and the needy.
Jesus kept the focus. He stayed connected. His eyes were on the sheep not the pen. He held together the need to train his people, manage his people, face His own crisis, His need to die on a cross, and still He ministered to the one the Father gave Him to bring home. I am talking about the thief on the other cross.
The state of the hearts around me are important. How will the team keep their focus? The same way the Father does, inspect the vines. The Pentecostal movement can be full of noise and activity. This can distract. What is God doing? Why did Jesus spend so much time alone with the Father? He said he only did what He saw the Father doing.
Jesus saw His team failing before they did. He warned them and prayed for them. I need these eyes! I need to keep my heart from believing that euphoria tells the truth. It doesn’t! Fruit does! Amen!
Jesus lead me and keep me! Amen!
“For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 TPT
