He got up from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. He entered a house and did not anyone to know it, but he could not escape notice. Mark 7:34
There are times when we want to escape notice. I heard a pastor tell of how he and his family had made a birthday call to his brother only to find out he was having a party, thrown for him by Ms Julia Gillard (at that time acting prime minister). Before he could control what was happening Ms Gillard was on the phone. The preacher said how he wanted to escape talking to someone so important and was so nervous he called her Jullian, to his embarrassment.
I am sure there were times when Jesus just wanted space but none was available. I am sure that the now MP Ms Gillard would like to just duck into the shops, unnoticed.
I read about great men of God and how when they entered factories people would fall under conviction of sin. If the Holy Spirit wants to be noticed He is noticed for He is great.
Today He is coming again into our communities and wants to draw all men, what will He do this time?
I want to be involved, ready. Is your lamp trimmed and burning, do you have enough fuel? There is plenty available. Amen!
