Seed

"The Kingdom of God is like this", He said. "A man scatters seed on the ground; he sleeps and rises-night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows-he doesn't know how. The soil produces a crop by itself -first the blade, the the head, and then the ripe grain on the head. But as soon as the crop is ready he sends the sickle, because the harvest has come."Mark 4:26-29

Like seed, God's kingdom contains within itself the power to grow. The only human role is planting. Once planted, seed grows and becomes a harvest. (HCSB Study notes)

All I have to do is sow the seed, be that friend, run that group, have that dinner and be a blessing, speak what He gives me to speak.

Today I talked to a neighbour who I have known for the last 3 years and she told me of what happened in her family for the first time last Christmas, they are beginning to care, to see. She is changing.

I have been there, shared Christ, loved, forgiven, cared and now the harvest is coming. A change has come about in that house.

The seed has the power within, all we have to do is spread it, He does the rest.

Our God is so intent on the harvest, He gives us the best seed if we will only use it and not try to make our own, His works. Amen!
