Beautiful One

Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe and Pilate said to them, "behold the Man!"
Therefore when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, "crucify Him, crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "you take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him."
The Jews answered him, "we have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God."
Therefore, when Pilate heard that saying, he was the more afraid.. John19:5-8
The Jews wanted the blood of Christ because they were filled with hatred, yet they needed the blood of Christ to set them free.

Who knows how many came to repentance as the story unfolded.
Hatred is stirred up by the unseen enemy of our souls.
Over the last few weeks I saw the growing hatred of my real enemy. His purpose was to destroy me, make me run and walk away from what is mine.
I chose to stay and believe I have passed the test, all that is mine will now open to me. Jesus stayed the distance and now His harvest is great.
Jesus spent three years being hated and his enemy thought he would destroy Him and His purpose.

I have had only three weeks of hatred and bow before my Lord in honor. He paid the price for me.

Pilate was a man who understood law, authority, justice and could see that the Jews had a problem with hatred. Their cause was nor a just one and he wanted nothing to do with their sin.

Jesus actually told Pilate that the sin of the Jews was greater in verse 11. However, Pilate was a man caught by destiny and unaware f all the decision he made would hold.

In eternity where is Pilate? Where are the accusers? Eternity sings the praises of the One who gave His life as a ransom for many. Forever and ever the truth of His victory will remain. Amen!
