Doing to others

““Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse, in some bibles begins with a ‘therefore’ and comes after verses describing how God the Father gives good gifts to His children.  It infers generosity towards others. God is our example.

Forgiveness must be the centre of our attitude. If it is at the centre then annoyance and offence at others is overridden with generosity. It is also the centre when Jesus also teaches: if a man demands your shirt, give him your cloak also ( Matt 5:40).

To be able to behave like this you must be secure in God. He is your source and supply. Amen.
