Who shall separate us?

“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Offence can separate us from most people, however, if offence happens in our hearts towards God is it us who moves, not God. He can never be made to leave His love for us. It would be against His nature, for He is love!

The earthly love we know can be made to leave. It is not agape love, that is God’s love. Agape love keeps on, always. God promised, “I will never leave or forsake you!”(Deut 31:8).

We may feel abandoned and alone but God is there. Elijah felt this after his confrontation with the prophets of Baal. He was depressed and sat down at a brook ready to die, but God sent him food and prepared him for a wilderness journey to an encounter with Him where God met Him in a whisper and encouraged him. God cherished Elijah and used him mightily. However, Elijah was prone to the blues, he thought no one but he was left who served the Lord, the Lord told him, “I have 8,000 men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” Although Elijah thought he was alone, he was not and more importantly God was with him.

Be encouraged you are not alone! Amen!
