God Can Do Anything

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes! Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 MSG We push people around. We manipulate others. God doesn't! He gently ministers to our spirit and increases our desire and receptivity to Him. Allowing Him to speak to our hearts by not drowning Him out with noise helps us hear. He is always gentle and never rude or aggressive. We have access to Gods Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. This same HOLY spirit lives within and directs and comforts us. He is good! All glory to Him! Amen!

A God Adventure

Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us — to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 HCSB God is able to do great things in me as I allow Him to sow visions and dreams of what could be. We are so quick to determine what we think would be a good fit but if we allowed God space He brings forth the most amazing dreams and visions. This is my current state. I am dreaming of doing things that I had never anticipated before but they are so true to who God made me. These visions are so full of adventure and boldness I yearn for them as this is what I love. As a child I enjoyed adventure, nature and imagining life as an adventure. I have a grandson whose goal is to be an adventurer. A chip off the old block. This same grandson wants me to take him to China. Lord willing I will. I want to teach my grandchildren to dream big and see God in all they do...

Embrace This God-Life

Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking . If you have anything against someone, forgive —only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.” Mark 11:22‭-‬25 MSG We all know what an embrace is. It is not a casual hug, a pat on the back or a quick kiss on the cheek. An embrace is passionate surrender. Well now, this is what Jesus tells us to give our new life in Him, an all out surrender. When we give our all to someone, usually, if it is a good relationship, we have an open welcome to all that person has. This is the sam...

When You Pray, Believe

Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for — believe that you have received them, and you will have them. Mark 11:24 HCSB Jesus illustrated this kind of prayer when He cursed the fig tree. His disciples were amazed but He told them the above. When I believe God is good I trust Him and speak well of Him. I hold an image of a good God before me. When I believe I will have what I pray for I live as if it is already true and confess it into being. There are things in my life that have not come to pass as I struggle to confess what I desire. For example I desire healing for my hearing. I will start confessing right but then be placed in a situation where I must say my current situation, which is I have poor hearing and need assistance. This has happened only recently with my uni studies. I have online lectures and the sound is often quite bad. I have had to ask for help. In doing so I have confessed myself back into a hole. This will continue to happen until I decid...

My Strength, My Song!

I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God , who made heaven, and earth, and mountains. Psalm 121:1‭-‬2 MSG I have learned, a long time ago, that if my eyes are to people to help me, I will be disappointed. Yet when my eyes are on the Lord I look to see how to work with Him to bring about the answer. The reason people fail is....they are human, frail and already consumed with their own world as perhaps you are with yours. My state, NSW, is in the grip of the worst drought in over 100 years. People are looking for the government to give financial support, and begging for fellow Australians to give support. I am concerned they will be hurt and disappointed. Whilst we should give, and I have and would give more if I had it, I am not God. God has an answer that is above and beyond me. The answer will be different for each one. The way He provides for me will be different for you, but when you find it, it will be full of life, no...

My Mountain

I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord , the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalms 121:1‭-‬2 HCSB In times of intense stress and trouble, we can wonder where our help comes from. It can seem like mankind is not willing or able to help. In these moments our help can only come from the Lord. We need a miracle that only He can provide. Our God is a God of miracles. He is our Father first and as such He looks over us, His children. He is good toward us, even when the storms are raging. All manner of calamaties be-set us but He changes not. We must trust Him and give up anxious talk or complaining. In these times we need to worship and come closer. He must be trusted.Amen!

Right Again!

How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 MSG Being right with God is such a relief. No more guilt and shame. Just as Jesus accepted the woman caught in adultery and the woman at the well who had had 5 husbands and the man she was with at the time was not her husband. Jesus never condemned her and neither does He condemn us. When we are right with God we can pursue His thoughts and ways. They are adventures waiting to happen. With God life is a wild ride. Even though we may go through the valley of the shadow of death, He is there leading and protecting us. Find God in the midst of a valley is breath-taking. He knows where the pools are and the waterfalls. We need to change our thinking. Rather than resenting the valley, praise Him and ask for the hidden places. Our God is good. Amen!
