When You Pray, Believe

Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for — believe that you have received them, and you will have them.
Mark 11:24 HCSB

Jesus illustrated this kind of prayer when He cursed the fig tree. His disciples were amazed but He told them the above. When I believe God is good I trust Him and speak well of Him. I hold an image of a good God before me. When I believe I will have what I pray for I live as if it is already true and confess it into being.

There are things in my life that have not come to pass as I struggle to confess what I desire. For example I desire healing for my hearing. I will start confessing right but then be placed in a situation where I must say my current situation, which is I have poor hearing and need assistance. This has happened only recently with my uni studies. I have online lectures and the sound is often quite bad. I have had to ask for help. In doing so I have confessed myself back into a hole. This will continue to happen until I decide I am a victim no more and aggressively change conversation. Watch this space.

In many areas I can rise up in faith and see miracles. Our confession is an important part of receiving a miracle: believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.

Another important factor in seeing a miracle is having a God mindset I gain this by spending time with the Lord and soaking up His thinking. His ways are best.

Finally, it is interesting that the verse after this one deals with forgiveness. Forgiveness is an important part of miracles. Our God, who works the miracles, is all about forgiveness. Amen!
