Two Women
The Loose woman, she is turbulent and willful; her feet stay not in her house. Prov 7:11
I, wisdom from God, make prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion. Prov 8:12
I have counsel and sound knowledge, I have understanding, and I have might and power. Prov 8:14
Two women, two totally different perspectives. One does not care for truth and righteousness; she lives for the lust of her flesh. The other is connected to the Lord, loves justice, mercy and truth.
I see two different people, one who wants their own way and who’s ears are shut to truth; the other loves the truth and their relationship with the Lord more than anything else.
The kings of old each had a choice as to what sort of leader they would be, would they be a man after God’s own heart or their own flesh. Each bore fruit according to their kind, each left a legacy, either life or death.

The one that is open to truth you can work with and want to give to, the other, her eyes cloud over when truth is spoken and she runs to her own ways, she delights in her own ways. This person’s need is sensuous not spiritual, she lives for her emotions. This person cannot have the best of me.
The fruit of the sensuous woman is frustration, failure, gossip, backbiting, laziness. Yet she does not see how her behaviour creates the problems and she rages ‘why me?’
The fruit of the spiritual woman is life and peace, self-control, vision, hope.
Daily I must choose which woman I will be. I must shun the lusts of the flesh and run towards the Lord, to wisdom, to peace.

As I begin a New Year (well almost) I must choose to take control of myself even more and focus on the Lord and His wisdom. In His wisdom is might and power. Amen!
