Getting There!

Hebrews 3:11 (MSG) "They'll never get where they're going, never be able to sit down and rest."
Ever stopped and thought 'what am I doing? I have. I have been spun around in activity and forgotten my purpose because I had lost focus.
The New Testament is full of direction. How do I make it to the end of the road? By staying focused. Focused on what?
We may focus on earning enough to pay the bills, finding a mate, buying a car, having a child but continually find that this eludes us. Why?
Perhaps we haven't go the message yet. Perhaps we have forgotten the message. What message?
'Keep your eyes on Jesus, the beginner and finisher of our faith.' What has that got to do with the price of eggs? everything. Frustration awaits the self-sufficient, the willful.
Grace awaits the humble. Lord these are my plans I give them to you, now I will walk down Your road. I will seek You, I will follow as You lead. I want to be close to You. You are my life!
My God early will I seek You, I will start with You first, You are my beginning and I can trust You to finish for me.
My plans for this year are in the Lord's breast pocket, they are His for the keeping. I know what they are and know I must trust my God and walk the walk of faith to see them established.
He loves me and goes before me, I am truly blessed. Amen!

Luke 4:9-11 In this third test Satan quoted scripture but Jesus knew His scripture and was not going to be deceived by his enemy twisting the truth. I am amazed at what Satan tempted Jesus with. Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
