He
James 3:13 (MSG) Live well, live wisely, live humbly. It's the way you live, not the way you talk, that counts.
Humility releases wisdom and wisdom causes us to live well. Humility knows it's strength but refrains from boasting or preening.
What are the characteristics of humility? The humble know their need of God. Moses was the humblest man who ever lived and he craved the presence of God.
The presence of God hold the flesh in check, cleanses the heart, directs the purposes and intentions of the heart.
The presence of God corrects striving and brings peace. Perspective lives in the presence of God.
The presence of God is wisdom, truth and strength. The more successful we are the more time we need to spend in His presence. Yet we tend to run to Him in our weakness.
The funny thing is that living in our strength is our greatest weakness and knowing to yield it again and again and again is humility and wisdom.
My strength bathed in His presence is humility. The blood of Christ saturates my strength and constrains it. A strength clothed in grace is true strength for then the strength underneath is the light that portrays grace.
I must spend time with Him, He is my centre, He is my focus, He is my control, He is my safety. Amen!
