The New Plan

Hebrews 10:16 (MSG) This new plan I'm making with Israel isn't going to be written on paper, isn't going to be chiseled in stone; This time "I'm writing out the plan in them, carving it on the lining of their hearts."
Part of my reading is old testament and when I see how the Lord struggled with His people and how they found it impossible to stay true to Him I am so grateful that He sent Christ.
Without Christ I would be under God's wrath. I could not escape. His wrath is horrible and to be avoided.
Why would I avoid Christ? Why walk away from a chance to know the father without wrath. I grew up with a wrathful father and it was horrible.
Christ paid the price for all the penalty of anything I have done, will do or could do wrong. He is the perfect sacrifice.
More than that He invites me to sit with Him in heavenly places so that I can see things from a victor's perspective.
I have been set free, totally free to live in His strength, to take the victor's spoils and to enjoy all He has done.
Thank you Lord! All I have to do is enjoy You. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
