Water

Isaiah 44:3 (AMP) For I will pour water upon him who is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.
There is something about being able to quench our thirst. Firstly we need to know how thirsty we are.
We in Australia, and especially north eastern Victoria are in a hot dry period of the year. The earth cries out for rain and when a little comes it gobbles up the precious moisture.
We know when we are physically thirsty, however do not always know the state of our soul and spirit.
A thirsty soul causes us to read, study communicate. A thirsty spirit causes us to consider the meaning to life, to search for answers.
As in the health industry where there are many so called answers to physical wellness, so in the spirit there is an abundance of answers yet only one gives life, only one sets captives free, only one gives us a loving relationship with a loving God.
Searching for spiritual fulfillment causes us to want to feel good inside. Unfortunately many so called answers, eg 'The Universe' takes the seeker to the created and not to the creator behind the creation. Because the stamp of the creator is in the created, in a sense, He is there but settling for the fragrance of someone who has just left the room instead of the fellowship of the person Himself is settling for so little.
He is more than a fragrance. He is more beside, much more. He is satisfaction of all I am created for, He is a complete answer, not a partial one. He is lover and friend. He will stand beside, comfort, be pleasurable company if we only allow Him.
Try Him today, He is better than a mute artefact, He is greaer than the stars or sunsets. He is peace, contentment, rest, love and much more. Amen!
