Hear the Bells Ringing

Revelation 5:12 (MSG) The slain Lamb is worthy! Take the power, the wealth, the wisdom, the strength! Take the honor, the glory, the blessing!
Revelation 5:9-10 (MSG) And they sang a new song: Worthy! Take the scroll, open its seals. Slain! Paying in blood, you bought men and women, Bought them back from all over the earth, Bought them back for God. Then you made them a Kingdom, Priests for our God, Priest-kings to rule over the earth.
He is worthy! In verse 2 there is a call throughout heaven, 'Is there anyone who can open the scroll?' Other versions say worthy to open the scroll.
The scroll was details of things to come, yet was so important, so precious that only one who was worthy could open it.
When I read prophesy in the old testament, especially the book of Daniel and see the amount of predictions that did unfold just as predicted and recognise that these were given to a man, a mere mortal. There was not a request for someone who was worthy.
As we approach Easter I am reminded how worthy Christ is. He paid the price for my freedom an I am so grateful. Thank you Lord!
Easter is not just about me. I am mindful of unsaved loved ones to whom the Lord is sending me. The funny thing is that when I visit I don't do much, I wait, I love, I enjoy. Use me Lord. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
