For Me

Numbers 11:11 (MSG) Moses said to God, "Why are you treating me this way? What did I ever do to you to deserve this?
Moses was over the children of Israel who were whining and complaining because they wanted meat to eat.
God's anger had flared against the children of Israel because of their whining. Yet he took Moses' complaint in his stride. He answered him: Numbers 11:16-17 (MSG) God said to Moses, "Gather together seventy men from among the leaders of Israel, men whom you know to be respected and responsible. Take them to the Tent of Meeting. I'll meet you there. I'll come down and speak with you. I'll take some of the Spirit that is on you and place it on them; they'll then be able to take some of the load of this people—you won't have to carry the whole thing alone.

Moses again complained to God, 'where am I going to find meat for all these people?

Again God answered Him: Numbers 11:23 (MSG) God answered Moses, "So, do you think I can't take care of you? You'll see soon enough whether what I say happens for you or not."

When the children of Israel complained God's anger flared against them and killed them. When Moses complained God responded differently.

When Aaron and Miriam became enamoured with themselves and complained against Moses God showed up, angry. He told them He would speak to them in dreams and visions but Moses was different.

Numbers 12:7-8 (MSG) But I don't do it that way with my servant Moses; he has the run of my entire house; I speak to him intimately, in person, in plain talk without riddles: He ponders the very form of God. So why did you show no reverence or respect in speaking against my servant, against Moses?

What do I learn from all this? I have the run of the house, God speaks to me face to face. He looks me full in the face and shines His blessing on me, I am favoured, I am blessed. He is here for me. He envelopes me, protects me, hides me, loves me. I am His and He runs to bless me.

If God be for me who can be against me? Amen!
