In all I do!

Mark 12:17 (MSG) Jesus said, "Give Caesar what is his, and give God what is his.
In our waywardness we endeavour to not pay to the government the taxes they require. If we are wayward in that can we also be wayward in giving to God?
As we justify our behaviour do we really know the way to truth?
Is it all about our own fun and pleasure? What does God say?
Today I found myself trying to organise tickets to a football match and finding people to come with me. When people cannot say straight out 'I don't want to go' they can waste time and become annoying.
However if I then act out of annoyance then I will err and regret my behaviour.
Before God I am accountable for what I spend my money on, if I am in annoyance I could miss a God appointment or a God investment.
As I also was not sure I should spend $95.00 on a State of Origin ticket why should I get annoyed when others don't know what they should be doing?
Lord I ask for your grace to be wise and have self control so that all I do pleases you. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
