Religion
Mark 3:5 (MSG) 5 He looked them in the eye, one after another, angry now, furious at their hard-nosed religion. He said to the man, "Hold out your hand." He held it out—it was as good as new!
Jesus was being harassed by the hard hearted who wanted to bind Him to a set of rules. His compassion wanted to heal a man on the Sabbath.
Today God wants to set captives free, the lost are everywhere. I must choose to upset those who would have me comply to a standard that reeks of religiosity at times.
Those who are religious carry ropes and their words are metallic, I hear chains of bondage, I smell decay.
I must allow my God to be GOD always, in every place, and every time. There as withered souls waiting for the new rain.
Come Holy Spirit pour through me and let it rain. Amen!
