Trust Me

Mark 5:36 (MSG) Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, "Don't listen to them; just trust me."
Jarius had come to Jesus because his daughter was very ill. As they approached his house the crowd told him his daughter had died, the worst sentence of all, yet Jesus said 'don't listen to them; just trust me.'
There are many voices that tell us the state of our lives. 'You can't do that you are too young (or too old).'
At present I have a voice in my life saying 'why do you want to do that, you are not good enough, you haven't got what it takes.'
Inside I am standing up and saying 'ah but you do not know who is on my side and who has called me.'
I remember when I was in my early 20's and wanted to study midwifery, the matron of the hospital stood in my way and I had to push, she did not like it but she did yield.
Moses faced a Pharaoh who would not yield and suffered as a consequence. As Moses had to believe the word of the Lord, I have to
believe I am who He says I am not who my boss thinks I am or who anyone else thinks I am, or says I am.
If God be for me who dares to go against me. As Moses didn't have an idea as to how he would lead such a large mass of people, he had to go and trust, I have to go and trust.
This is stuff of miracles, this is where God gets to show off. Amen!
