Greater!!

Joshua 18:3 (MSG) Joshua addressed the People of Israel: "How long are you going to sit around on your hands, putting off taking possession of the land that God, the God of your ancestors, has given you?
The land that we are allotted involves taking control of our passions and lusts, our lazy flesh, our attitudes. It involves taking hold of God-given vision and focusing on it and dealing with ALL that comes against that vision.
The enemy will use everything he can; family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, the media. Every where he can sow fleshly attitudes, arrogance, pride, anger, jealousy, envy he will go.
My job is to keep looking at Jesus. He calls to me when an attack comes, 'look at me.' As I gaze on Him I trust, become calm and rest in the storm.
Last night I watch Catalyst on the ABC and they did a report on Transcendental Meditation, it obviously works for those given to it but I have a beautiful saviour into who's eyes I can gaze, His word never fails me. His peace is threaded with His love, His smile, His laughter. Why would I shop at the counterfeits mall?
My saviour is the greatest potion, the best food, the best wine, He is the beginning and the end. When He says 'Yes' it will be done. He is greater than all, He has my Awe, He has my heart, He has my song, He is the greatest.
King of kings, Lord of lords, the great 'I am' is He. He is my faithfulness, He is my favour, He is my beauty, He is my victory, He is greater than 'no', He is 'Yes and Amen!'

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
