Who do I empower?

Joshua 5:1 (MSG) When all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and the Canaanite kings along the seacoast heard how God had stopped the Jordan River before the People of Israel until they had crossed over, their hearts sank; the courage drained out of them just thinking about the People of Israel.
Our enemy is afraid of us discovering who we are in Christ but he also knows that when we sin we give him power.
The children of Israel were told not to take anything from Jericho for themselves yet one man did.
We are told not to take God's glory, we are told to put our God first and our neighbour second.
It is so tempting to take the glory, first place and second if we have the chance. God wants the glory, it is His and His alone.
God wants us to cover our brother's sin not expose it. Why if we expose it we look good in the eyes of our listeners. Love covers.
Lord take me beyond the need to connect in such a way that I uncover others so that I can feel important.
