Who is the Judge?

Luke 12:4-5 (MSG)"I'm speaking to you as dear friends. Don't be bluffed into silence or insincerity by the threats of religious bullies. True, they can kill you, but then what can they do? There's nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.

Who is a religious bully? A self-righteous bully? A bully who believes that no one else is right and clutches at scripture to justify their stance.

I look at the Lord, He is the judge, He alone is right, He alone is pure.

Lord I watch for You, I seek Your hand.

I find that people bully out of pain, perhaps they are struggling to hold their world together, themselves and in their struggle have lost sight of the way to freedom.

Although I might understand the pain I cannot be made to submit to another god, the god of self.

Ah! The good news is that yesterday I spoke to about 20 men and was able to give them the gospel. I was speaking to a Probis meeting and I sensed a freedom to preach. One man was almost in tears and asking what should I do with this difficult person in my life. I loved it. Give me more Lord! Amen!
