But that Matters Little
What matters little? Paul had told his people that God had shown him that he was about to face imprisonment.
Staying focused can be difficult when stuff happens, or is threatening. For me the area of greatest concern is the threatened trouble. I am learning to not let it dictate.
My focus should be Christ and His purposes and not the storms that threaten. There are souls, hungry, lost souls who need to see Jesus in me.
Once having found peace I am reluctant to let it go. I have a very good friend who once said to me, 'Di let peace be your governor.' This is wise advice.
My God goes before me. He went before Paul. Although the Jews wanted a nasty, immediate end for Paul, he was imprisoned for quite a while, but was treated well.
The enemy of our souls wants our focus. If we can refrain for giving it to him and instead give it to the Lord, then we enable the Lord to do great things on our behalf.
'If God be for me, who can be against me?' I think Paul knew this well.
My God has great plans for me and I will only discover them as I watch Him. Amen!
