One Way

2 Chronicles 14:11 (MSG) Then Asa prayed to God, "O God, you aren't impressed by numbers or intimidated by a show of force once you decide to help: Help us, O God; we have come out to meet this huge army because we trust in you and who you are. Don't let mere mortals stand against you!"

Asa and his father before him knew how to step out and trust God, they followed after the ways of David.

We are faced, again and again, with a show of force of the enemy. The world will tell us, the cancer is powerful, it will kill you; you are a small business and you will be swallowed up; you are old and your bones are fragile so be careful etc etc.

I now have two dear friends facing cancer and both are determined to find God and they are. I stand with them and say use me Lord, I will pray and I will stand against the enemy.

The key to Asa's victory was that he had cleared out all the idols and God gave him peace. A king rose up to try and take his peace but God routed him and gave him into Asa's hand.

There can be NO gods before the Lord, nothing more precious, no opinion, no belief, no attitude, no one. When He is GOD He hears, He comes, He delivers.

There is only one way and that is Jesus, He is the source of life, He is the healer, He is the answer, He is the opinion, He is GOD. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
