Simple yet Great

Acts 7:49-50 (MSG) "Heaven is my throne room; I rest my feet on earth. So what kind of house will you build me?" says God. "Where I can get away and relax? It's already built, and I built it."
It is ludicrous to think we can box God. When we see the heavens, it's expanse and all that is in it, He fills it with Himself, we are in awe.
Yet He chose to live in this temple, in human flesh. In all of time all He wanted was relationship.
When we try to imagine what sort of house God would want, we dream up all sorts of schemes but He is happy in us.
We come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, some are pretty, some ugly but inside He dwells.
What sort of God is this? No fancy temple, no fancy performance just being at home in us. No rituals, no sacrifices, no incense, no gongs or bells. No crawling all the way to see Him.
Thank You Lord! You are simple yet so great. I praise You for Your heart towards me, Your love unties all knots, smooths all tumultuous seas. Love You Lord! Amen!
