where Are We Now?
Acts 10:15 (MSG) The voice came a second time: "If God says it's okay, it's okay."
Peter had been receiving a revelation from God about the Gentiles. Up until this moment he, like the other disciples had believed that salvation was for the Jews.
Funny thing that! Jesus had said to go into all the world and preach the gospel yet his disciples had not 'got it'.
We Christians have beliefs set around immature revelation. We take what we see and create a vision, a belief, a way of acting, a structure around it.
Throughout history we see God's people restricting the gospel to only one movement and each successive one was persecuted by the preceding one.
What are we Pentecostals persecuting? If we are not already we will be soon, guaranteed, it is in our sin nature.
Where is the Holy Spirit now? where is the wind?
How do we stay open to the Spirit?
My God is constantly surprising me. I think I have the vision, but no, I get to a place and it has turned a corner. Perhaps that is why the Lord says 'Watch Me'.
Go Holy Spirit, do Your thing. Amen!
