Abundance

Romans 4:17 (MSG) We call Abraham "father" not because he got God's attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody.
Wow! I've got it! God so loved Abraham that He gave. God chose to give to Abraham not because he was a great man, he was quite ordinary, he lied twice about his wife being his wife to save his own skin.
Abraham was old, childless, living in a tent. He had no place to call home, not like we call home these days.
God turned up in Abraham's life and called him to follow. Abraham did, then God said I want a relationship with you and I want to give because I love you.
God knew what Abraham desired most, that which he was unable to do in his own strength. God waited until Abraham 'got it' and then the gift came.
God loves me. He gave me His Son but now He comes and says 'there's more'. 'All your heart's desires I will give'.
Romans 4:16 (MSG) 16 This is why the fulfillment of God's promise depends entirely on trusting God and his way, and then simply embracing him and what he does. God's promise arrives as pure gift.
The rain is coming, I see the cloud on the horizon. Amen!
