Build Up
Nehemiah 4:2 (AMP) What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore things [at will and by themselves]? Will they [try to bribe their God] with sacrifices? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, seeing they are burned?
A critical spirit comes from an arrogant spirit, fat and lazy. It does not know God intimately nor does it seek Him.
Sanballat was a tool of the enemy and only served to cement the Jews as one and his purpose to fragment failed because God had sent Nehemiah, the son of encouragement.
Give me a sunny disposition any time as opposed to a fault finding dark attitude. Fault finders are unhappy, grumbling, malcontents. Encouragers see the silver lining. I choose to encourage and not pull down.
What can I build? God gives me lives to impart life to, speak health to. I must use what God gives me. He is the master builder, master craftsman.
There are enough forces pulling down and destroying, my job is to build and ignore the prattling of the enemy. My God must reign in my life. Amen!
