Joy
Romans 5:3 (MSG) We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us...
Yesterday as I walked and talked to the Lord I said to Him, 'I cannot save myself, heal myself, prosper myself, You can, BUT I can praise You, I can go out into battle and sing and I can sing well Your praise because I love to do it.'
All day I sang in the spirit, my spirit bubbled over with joy. I can do what I can do. I can love and obey. He can do what He can do, all the rest.
Takes the striving out of faith doesn't it? No works, absolutely NO works to earn but works that reveal faith a plenty.
True freedom waits for us to enjoy, like little children. My grandchildren must obey me but oh how I love to bless them because I love them dearly.
When my grandchildren do what they must, it releases me to do my best on their behalf because I love to do it.
Ah! the joy of obedience. Amen!
