Abundance
Genesis 27:28 (AMP) And may God give you of the dew of the heavens and of the fatness of the earth and abundance of grain and [new] wine;
Abundance is sought and spoken in blessing yet there are principles that govern it.
Seeking abundance for abundance sake is empty and futile and carries great cost to the seeker.
Frustration, disappointment, sickness are a few characters that co-habit with striving for abundance.
Even if God has promised in prophesy or we have a revelation in His word we cannot assume that we can therefore go out and be prosperous.
Taking our eyes off the Lord will cause us to drift away from the fountain. However, keeping our eyes fixed on Him will keep the flow open.
John 10:10 (AMP) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Fear and disappointment are enemies of blessing as are arrogance and self-reliance.
Daring to believe in the word, speaking the word, living the word, bears fruit.
Persistence in believing attracts Hope and Hope is followed by the God of Abundance.
There is another element, waiting on the Lord. In my life waiting opens the doors, waiting that is coupled with desire for His way releases Him to be great.
I am inspired to ask great things and He chooses how He will provide and when.
Christmas Eve, 2010 I had $26 to buy groceries and a speeding fine. I refused to go along with self-pity and He provided and provided, and provided.
I began to believe He not only was able to provide for all my needs but that He could provide above and beyond, He is now doing that, 1 month later.
He constantly amazes me where He brings the provision from, He delights in the surprise and I love it. We are having fun together.
No longer do I believe I have to be successful by my own hand, however I do believe I must moment by moment be diligent, putting one step in front of the other.
January was looking bleak, my boarders are with me from March to December, during these months I have a good supply but December to March is lean, by our standards BUT God had other plans. I was facing January with $2,533 worth of bills above and beyond food and petrol with an expected income of $2,168.
Today, 29th January I have paid every bills, eaten well, had plently of petrol and entertained regularly.
I do what He has for me to do in a day. I don’t fret because I cannot go to work as I think, I go to work as He thinks and it produces fruit.
I allow Him to be master of my time and I do not waste it. Having said that I have watched the tennis most nights and not been guilty because He is there with me.
Another thing I do is I delight to give Him His portion. Even when what He has given me could be used elsewhere I trust Him. I say ‘I want to give this to You and see what You will do with it.’
My God is a miracle working God and He makes great things out of seeds that is how He works so I love to give Him seeds.
